This Milanese helmet is a copy of the helmet adorning the "Avant" harness at the Kelvingrove Museum, Glasgow. This is a type that was used extensively throughout Italy and also the rest of Europe. Hand beaten in two halves from 14 gauge (2mm) steel then welded and given a satin finish. An authentic leather liner is riveted into the helmet and a leather strap and period buckel fitted. It is constructed from 2mm (14 gauge) steel and has an adjustable, spider style, leather liner and chinstrap.

Based on a Milanese helmet of a style popular throughout Europe with it's characteristic bullet shaped skull. Also known as a pig faced bascinet. Hand beaten in two halves from 14 gauge (2mm) steel then welded and given a satin finish. The visor is of 14 gauge (2mm) steel. An authentic linnen liner is sewn into the helmet and a leather strap and period buckel fitted.
